I know the answer is here somewhere, I remember reading it once. But I've gone back in time a dozen pages and haven't stumbled on it (or missed it!).

The pins under the rear window bow will not stay engaged. How do I adjust the locking mechanism to grab the pins better? I can't find any help in my AIM or 1970 Chassis Service Manual.

Thanks...!!!

If its just the pins, they thread in and out to control the length. They have a very fine slit for a reg. screw driver. The locking or latch unit is controled by two thin steel rods that are adjusted with the rear deck up They have a screw rod lock used to lenthen or shorten them.allowing the catch to extend farther into the latch area. |cheers|

Thanks! I had to use a vise-grips on the pins in order to get them to turn, but turn they did. I looked at the connecting rods and they seem to be adjusted correctly.
Now just have to get out on the road to see if the top will stay locked down. |hammer|
