Hey Guy's,

I am new here and need advice. The 75 vette that I have has a large whole in the frame right under the driver door area. I found a rolling74 frame nearby for $500 to use. Please feel free to give me advice on how to do the switch.. Are there any easy ways to remove the whole body? What process should I follow? Are there any books out there to help make it easier?

Your input would be very appreciated!!!!!!

Welcome to C3VR!
The frames are a little different between the '75 and the '74, mostly at the front and rear. The bumper set-ups are different. I'm not sure if they can be swapped and made to work, but most of the bumper stuff does just bolt on, so....it might.
Perhaps Larry from can enlighten us a little....?

Yes,I found someone to do the repair it's not cheap, but cheaper than replacing the frame at this time. I hope to replace frame at later time.If you decide to have the frame repaired find a corvette only repair shop and have them do it or reconmind someone. That what I did and it's going to cost me around $2500.(More damage was found durring the inspection.)

How cumbersome is it to swap frames? Anybody have any experience with that?? I have a 2 post car lift and tools. Like I said I found a rolling 74 frame for $500.00 that I can sand blast and paint. I want to make sure that it will work with my car though before I decide on that route....
