I believe it is for the alarm. Doesn't make much sense to put it back there but GM didn't always do the sensible thing.

Don't feel like a question you have is a dumb question.......no questions are dumb on here. I didn't know it was an alarm when I first saw that on the back of a C3. Weird place to put an alarm, but I've got one on my grey poop-on. I'm gonna fix mine some day just for grins.
