my 75 has it on the front left side by the stringray emblem. uses the door key to arm it. doesn't work as the alarm horn wasn't on the car when i bought it. picked up a used one on ebay and hope to get it hooked up soon.

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
Sold - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
As disclosed above it is for the alarm.  I tried it out on "The Toy" after purchasing it 6 years ago and all the noise it made amounted to sound the "key in the ignition" buzzer makes.  Never monkeyed with it again.

Don't feel dumb. First trip I took in my 71, my wife had all her luggage piled up in the driveway but couldn't get the dang trunk open.ConfusedEmbarrassed
Sorry, couldn't resist.Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing Mine didn't work when I got it so I ganked it out. Seriously, like Mick says don't feel dumb. It was this very forum that answered the same question for me five years ago. Terry

Mine did not work when I got the 73 but all it needed was a new horn and some door switches. Now it works if I remember to turn it on/off.
