Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I fixed mine with a repair kit from The Last Detail. The kit no. is 22038195. It cost $13 plus shipping of $8. You have to completely disassemble the power antennae assembly, and install the replacement part. I had trouble with the little ball on the very tip of the antennae. I ended up buying a real small stainless steel acorn nut from Ace hardware. The original ball would not work. They send instructions to do the complete job. Be sure to read them very well, cause it is a trickey job to do.
Good luck.
