I lost one of my L-48 emblems from the hood and just received my replacement. How are these attached? All I see are two smooth pins for the holes in the hood but what keeps it on?

They are attached with speed nuts. They are sold a Mid America. Here they are:

I just replaced mine, these attached with 2-way tape already attached to the back side of the emblems.

Thanks for the info guys. The emblems I got I think are the ones that need the speed nuts that 70vette mentioned. No tape on the back of these emblems.

Strange that they don't include them with the emblems...

Thanks again! |thumb|

you should be able to get speed nuts at NAPA. they are rectangular though but work just as well. I had to replace the back Corvette emblem and used them |cheers|

Original GM L-48 emblem?? I didn't think GM made those. My understanding was that they are an after market item.
