Well, I read through those three threads and I think im more confused then when I started. The car has at least two coats of paint on it, it is currently black and then the original medium blue and im not sure if there are any in between. The black is pretty rough, it looks like it was put on with a brush in some places. I am getting a new fiberglass front bumper and am going to fill in the seam, and I have to replace or repair the rear piece by the exhaust.
I'm looking for some opnions, should i have the car blasted which was my original thought, sand the whole car to get rid of the black and paint over the other layers, or sand all of the way to the gell coat?

watch a video on soda blast at www.soda-blast.com Look for the auto link to the vid.
I think that site also has a vid of them stripping (soda blast)an older vet (maybe early 60's). I hope that was the same site.
You can check out : blast away technologies, in bensenville (bead blasting),,,, or www.sodastrip.com (soda blasting) in lockport
well, so far I have gotten qutes of 600 and 850, does this sound reasonable to anyone? If its going to be this much I think I am going to have to just put the time in myself either sanding or trying the razor blade method
