thats the factory 2 man kind though..  where you have to have a person holding the tool on one side and the other person smacking it with a hammer on the other side.

i am not shure about your area but car quest sells a huge ste that lookes like a giant set of bolt cutters we used ours to rivet on a saturn door skin and they where preety big rivets so i would check that option i think it was 50 or so dollar i have had mine a few years and only used that one time

Whwhat is the proper size of river for the 69
I have a packet of rivets from doc rebuild that is labeled 63-82 1/8th inch rivets but they do not measure 1/8

Now my 1/8th inch rivet tool referenced above is here... But doesn't fit the rivets. Do I have the wrong rivets or the wrong tool or both

I'd guess the rivets are incorrect. Most of the dimensions I've seen in the assy manuals are off-beat sizes, like X/32nds and such....
That being said, I see no reason why a more "standard" sized rivet wouldn't work just as well. If the Doc Rebuild rivets are labeled as 1/8th, but they're not, I'd think that is where the problem would be. Perhaps the good Doc. is using the factory sized rivets, instead of the more common 1/8th"?
What do your rivets measure, anyway?

i believe they are 3/16th..  didnt use a caliper..

anyway..  i wanted to use the factory size..

with corvette central selling two different tools in 2 different sizes...  then doc rebuild saying there is only one size and it doesnt seem to match.

what does NCRS say about rivets?
