Hey Yall I tried searching for threads on this without any luck. I got one bad cage nut that I need to replace. I've been ignoring it till now due to all of the heartache it caused me trying to get the body off
. I'm not much of a fabricator and it's been years since I've done any welding. Can you arc weld these back on? Last thing I want to do is start burning and hacking on my frame at this stage in the game.
Please say arc weld cause that's all I know how to do! Also what size rod works best?

If You can Ark Weld then You can probably Weld with any of the other Process's out there as I consider Ark Welding the Most Chalanging. Mig Welding is just Pull the Trigger and go. Tig Welding You need to Use Two hands and a Foot all at the same Time. Given this I'd Tig it First Mig it Second and Ark it Last. You might be able to rent a Mig or Tig nearby. Just what Nut is this??? You might be able to have a Clip or Bracket Welded onto a Nut at a Local Shop that will Fit where You need it and not need a Wrench later on. Richard..........

It's the #3 body mount frame bracket, cage nut is spinning. Checked with the local Hertz rental and they have a flux core wire feed welder, I think he said 120 amp availible. You think that's enough to get her done? Yeah, I'm actually fairly ok at arc welding, I just never got a chance to play around with anything else.
