Mike,
I sent you the article that REDWINGVETTE sent me ... so thank him for it. It just happened that I got your message right of way and had the article ready to go. I mailed it to your address provided.
I hope it helps ... helped me with the #4 mounts especially.
Good luck!

Redwingvette seems to have followed a similar path to my own. I got my replacement body mount from a vette salvage yard. I used stainless steel bolts instead of rivets to secure them to the body and found skipping the back bolts is not a problem. If you must install the back bolts/rivets, you will need to open the splash apron over the rivets holes and expose the area and seal them after bolts installed. My inside mating parts were rotted, so I made a cardboard template of what would mate with the outside mount from the inside. I used a hole saw to open an access for the inside body mount nut in this fabricated part before its installation. A sheetmetal shop followed my template pattern and fabricated the part. I also made a washer the size of the original caged nut to go under the body bolt nut. A mirror is helpful seeing down into the small area. When I was finished all parts were painted with rust resisant paint. Gaps around the outside mount were sealed from moisture and debris with black seam sealer. Except for the s/s bolts and seam sealer, everything looked original inside and out when finished. The job will definately challenge your patience and fabrication skill, but worth it in the end.

Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
I agree with Red. I also used stainless bolts, and a heap of locktite, of course, to secure the reinforcement on. The aluminum rivets were all broken off, and it just seems like a dumb design for a part that takes so much stress.
As for where I bought the parts...Bair's. Brian, who I deal with there, is a big C3 man, and knows his stuff. You don't need a part number, just tell him, and he knows it. AND, he did good by me. Last year, at summer Carlisle, I purchased a ton of parts off of him, and used my card. I called him a month later, to buy a radiator support, and spoke to Brian. He not only remembered me, but told me that he made a mistake in billing me, AND took the difference off of the bill, plus a little extra for the trouble. He earned my future buisness in my book.
