I just started taking apart my 69 and discovered a steel plate under the driver side carpets. When I took out the plate I found the fiberglass floorboards half missing and in bad shape. I can't find any replacements in my catalogs. What is the best thing to do? Can I find a flat piece of fiberglass and resin it in? Will it be strong enough? Maybe I should put the metal plate back in
. I am hoping someone out there has seen something similar to this and can offer some good advice.

I've never seen these before. They might work.
I wonder if I can tweak them to fit my '69.

Thanks for the option. I think I would still need to do some kind of fiberglass repair since my '69 has no metal in the floorboards - it was just fiberglass ('was" being the key word). These would really strengthen the floor for those times when I hammer the clutch!!
Thanks JimG!

I'm not sure, but I don't think the steel pans will fit without major re-works. Then again, if you have no floor to begin with...
You might try checking with a Corvette "salvage" place. You can get the whole thing, and then trim to fit. just an idea...
