This is e general message for someone in this area that can show me HOW to get the dang car wash brush marks outa the clear-coat.
I can't afford to get it repainted anytime soon so I have work with what I got.

2 things - VETTES NEVER HIT A CAR WASH. I have 1st hand seen fibreglass flexing from a carwash
Griots catalog, they have a scratch/swirl removal series of products. It works

I didn't put it there. This is from the previous owner.
There is a 3M product available from your local body shop supply house called "Finesse It". It is a very fine polishing compound, pretty expensive, but it'll get the job done. I use it with a 7" high speed buffer with a lambswool pad. Do one area at a time (half a hood, etc.) gently. Use a pretty fair amount of the stuff to prevent burning the finish. The stuff works so gently, there is little chance of burning thru the clear-coat.

I was thinking more in line of a rubber block, pad, and elbow grease, I'm not to good with the buffer. Tried it, and........huh? ....whoops. I have to stay away from anything dangerous. Small area at a time.
Finesse-It will work by hand if you have a LOT of patience, which I have none of. If you run out of it, a random orbital buffer is a whole lot safer than the 7" wheel I mentioned...
