I need a close-up photo of a c3 (preferably '82) FRONT LOWER AIR DAM. Mine was
damaged by the previous owner in a curb hit, and the local Chevy dealer muffed up the
repair. There is a steel bracket in the center of the front that somehow supports the lower air dam. Please email photo(s) to:
kerryde@msn.com
I appreciate the assistance.

If no one sends you photos, try Noel Carboni's site and try looking in some of the parts catalog out there. There should be some good shots in there of the front lower valance area. Hope this helps!

Vette(s): 1978 INDY PACE CAR #3016 of #6502 built. Has original Pace car decals still in GM boxes the way it was delivered to GM dealers. per NCRS "UPDATE" Decals applied as of 3/8/02 (ALL ORIGINAL)
Kerry,
Here is a image of a breakdown of how the 82 front vette section is put together. Like Darla said if you see a part that was not installed back on your vette you should be able to replace it by getting in touch with most of your major corvette parts retailers such as Corvette America,Mid America, Zip, and Corvette Central. Hope this helps

I believe the metal brace in the front center is to go under the lower air dam for support
at the bottom. This metal part appears to be part of the bumper/frame, ans is not visible in the exploded view. It is slightly visible on the photo of Dar's 82 CE. Anyone out there with a digital camera, email me a photo?
Thanks to all who have replied so far!

If you are talking about the black two piece dam/spoiler, it is part # ext132 in the diagram

The piece that is bent is steel, part of the front "bumper" behind the skin.
I just took the car back to the Chevy dealer, and I think they finally understand.(?)
Thanks...
