Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
Well, I confirmed it today for sure the wheel wells were cut about a inch to inch and half. The clown didn't even get the measuring right. Not sure if it would be easier to reform the rear wheel wells and add the length back on or just get new quarter panels and replace them. Anyone have an opinion which way to go?

Luckly, fiberglass is not hard to repair. It would be easier to replace the edges, than redo the entire panel. But it may be a nicer job if it's all replaced. However, a good body man can do just as well either way.
I would also look at the inner panels/wheel wells to see what has been cut in there.

I ended up putting new quarters on mine. Mostly because a previous owner ran a huge tire and they cut into the lip.
Ken's right too though, a good body man should be able to correct the opening. Look for patch panels or repair sections. There are still a few vendors with "parts cars" and for some reason, rear clips are plentiful. You could cut a section out of one of those.

Thanks for the advise. I plan to go over to Eckler's Corvette Reunion next weekend and take some pictures. The lip is still there but the length is very short and the curl that goes in the wheel well is gone.
I do have a second question I plan to take the body and parts to get it media blasted. Should I take it and get it media balsted first and then do the repair work or do the repair work first.
