Well I finally decided to put my new convertible top on....
SURPRIZE!!! I got a call from the shop doing the work and was told that there was a problem with the header bow.It was rusted beyond repair.I was amazed when I saw it ,you could not tell that it was that bad with the top on.I made the trip to Philly to look at a header bow replacement part, but it was in as bad shape as mine(I don't know what that guy was thinking).Found a new one at Mid America and Ecklers(second one has better price) going to call tomorrow and make sure this is the same part before I order it.

Good luck with the new top Tinbender.
And Ebo, a group called THE FIXX sang that song. I can remember watching the "Solid Gold" Dancers dance to that song,:)
Take care and remember, "IWAVE2"
Jon
1975 CORVETTE (IWAVE2)
1971 CORVETTE (BLU BYU)
1982 COLLECTOR EDITION CORVETTE (COOL CE)
Hope you get it all straightened out, Rick!

Vette(s): 1974 coupe. 350 CID with Turbo 400 trans. Decal says 8.5:1 compression. Needs paint and AC replaced but don't plan on full restoration. Car runs strong. No big problems so far. 67,000 miles on Odometer, probably rolled over
Sorry to here another "found a rusty part" report.
I think I'll get that "One Thing Leads To Another" song and put it in the player when I'm out in the garage working on the vette.
Good luck on the fixx. Hope every thing goes well

It has been over a year since I started. I had to quit the project so
the car just sat in the garage. I was able to get started again in May 2012. As of July 27 2012 I have done the fiberglass repairs and applied Slick Sand High Build Primer.

At least someone had it! I always get those parts that they don't make anymore and they keep saying the replacement is "coming soon"! Hope it all works out!
