Have any of you purchased a new rag top for your C3? What do you look for in terms of construction? Where did you purchase and at what cost? How much should it cost to install it if done professionally?

I purchased mine about 10 years ago from Al Knoch Interiors, I don't remember what it cost but I know alot of corvette owners swear by them for their interior and top products.
I think the install was around $150-250. Al Knoch does install tops and interiors right at Carlisle if you make an appointment with them and they have time.

I also got an al knoch top, it's top quality. It comes with everything you need except the front windlace (no aftermarket tops include that for some reason). I forgot how much it cost, maybe $400 with new weatherstripping? Cost about $600 to install, including making up the windlace. Joe

You are close enough, give Al Knoch a call. He may still be able to do it at Carlisle next week. I have seen some of his work,...top notch. Can't hurt to try.

I purchased an Al Knoch top kit on eBay for around $200 (included shipping) and was going to install it myself, but ran out of time before the 50th road trip. I called around to several places before finding an outfit that installed it for $350. They kept the car overnight and did a great job, I know it wouldn't look anywhere near as good had I tried to do it.
