I've never heard of this method, & I don't think I have the nerve to try it, but it worked for this guy.
This car has since won an NCRS Top Flight and was featured in last month's Corvette Enthusiast.
Check it out:::::

#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
I think it would work and it sounds logical to me. Probably the paint would have to be in pretty bad shape before I would try that......I don't think I have the nerve to try that on my car right now. Wait!!! Then maybe I might repaint the Poop, Pink...........
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!

As long as the Gelcoat was in good shape and you didn't hold the wand in 1 spot for any significant amount of time it would work fine.
I have used a power washer to remove old paint from homes in ordet to prepare the wood to be primed and repainted. This is the same principal.
I like this idea better than the paint stripper and razor blade method. It is also much better from an ecological atandpoint. (Except for doing this in the driveway.... duh)

That paint bond, must not have been very good. It is true about a pressure washer boring holes in concrete. I don't think I'll be doing the pressure wash/strip...
