Hey guys,
I have a question about alignment. My pain't guy is coming to do some body work soon in the enxt few days. But I noticed the doors are off alignment witht he body. THe drtiver's side is the most off. THe passanger is the least. I know fiberglass changes over time. But I noticed that the driver's side door is way more off than the passanger, which to me possibly indicates this is from usage? Do I have to correct this, or does the paint/body guy? Here are some pics:

HOLYMOLY!!!
That looks like the victim of some bad, previous bodywork to me. There's some MAJOR gaps, front AND rear of the doors...not gonna get that to adjust out. Looks like someone may have cut the doors in the back, and the fenders in the front. Might have to do some extra 'glass work to get it closer to normal.
Can you measure the gaps, between the door/front fender, and the door/rear quarter? Measure at the top-middle-bottom. We all know these cars were never "perfect", or even close in some cases, but that really looks to me like Bubba bodywork.
Maybe your body/paint feller can give you some godd advice, once he(she?) sees it in person.

Too tough to tell in the pictures. The closeups appear bad but some of
that may be exagerated by the lens. There are many variables with gaps.
Some could be in the hinge pins, some in the striker plate position,
some in the hinge position. I can't imagine someone removing fiberglass
in those amounts to balance the gap. Maybe, but I doubt it. I am sure
if your body/paint man has early Vette experience, he will be able to
adjust these doors. Keep us posted Louis.

I agree with Scott..I had my driver door out away from the body by the door handle after you closed it, I adjusted the door striker plate until the door aligned better with the fender, looks great now with the same spacing all around the door..Adjust check, adjust check..
