Wasnt sure where this thread belonged, so I hope I got it right. My problem (among many others) is that my exterior door handle "flaps" are limp. That is, they sit at an angle as if the spring is no longer able to place them in the up position. Does anyone know a kit that will correct this? Is it an easy fix? Thanks in advance for any advice provided!

It appears from the other forum you are in for a very difficult job.

If you decide to replace the outside handles, I highly recommend biting the bullet and getting the "good" ones and leave the chinese replicas on the shelf. There is a difference in quality and you probably dont want to do this job twice.
I'll probably get Eckler's springs as a first stab, since they're cheap. If that doesnt work, I'll just go with the higher quality handles as Crossfire82 suggested. I agree....leave the Chinese crap on the shelf! They don't need any more of our money. :-)
I replaced mine and it was difficult but not impossible. You really need a good diagram that shows, clearly, the linkages. The two nuts securing the handle to the door are difficult to get at but with patience, an extension, and a wobble socket you can get it done. Good luck with the springs.
