Hello everyone, newbie here.
My question is, I just recently had my car painted, since I've had it back
I've been having a difficult time opening the passenger door, just from
the outside. I did have new door handles put on, as well as new hinge
pins. I'm thinking it may just be an adjustment in the door since it is only
hard to open from the outside. Am I on the right path? What is the actual
procedure to make this adjustment?
Thanks in advance for your help. Gary

You are definitely on the right track and once you remove the door panel, it won't seem that complicated. I'd start with the rod that attaches to the outside handle. It's probably not moving the latch as far as the rod from the inside handle does.

Is the problem in the door hinges (physically hard to move the door) or is the problem difficult in unlatching the door (locking mechanism)? You mentioned new hinge pins - Did they apply new grease? Also, new hinge springs do tend to tighten up the door a LOT. When I replaced mine I had to start using my shoulder to get the door open till they worked themselves in a bit. ~juliet
