Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Which one of these is correct? On the passenger door, the pin that goes in to the guide at the top of the door is just the pin, and there is what appears to be a brass fitting in the guide that the pin goes in to. On the driver's side, the brass fitting appears to be attached to the pin instead of being permanently in the guide.

Both doors work fine. The only problem I've ever had is that the pin on the passenger side was recently loose, but by pulling the door panel, I was able to get in and tighten the bolts that hold it in.

I believe the brass is supposed to be part of an insert that fits into the "receiver" in the body. Your pass. side is correct, the driver side is not. That brass insert/bushing should stay in the receiver.
