Hi guys:
Been a while since I've been online, but have a question and know this group is kind enough to help.

Bought a replacement door spring for my driverside door (never had the spring when I bought it) and the instructions say it should be a ten minute job to install. Fit it in this way...take the installation tool and twist the spring just so...tap with a hammer and you're done...Voila!

Problem...I can get the spring into position, I can insert the special tool and twist (just so), but there is no way in $%#$ I am getting a hammer in there to tap it into place just so. And even if I do, what the hell am I tapping it into just so?

Anyone have any suggestions? tips? tricks? |headscratch|

Will appreciate any help you bunch can give.

(By the way, have had (2) C5 drivers wave to me in the past week! That's (2) out of about (30) I've passed this summer! Will they ever get the hint?)

Hello Mark !
You have the info on the tips & tricks section.
also I have my spring done and it is not 10 minutes work much more .you must have the special tools to do it right. in the same time you could change your pin and bushing that will fit the loose off your doors
if you need to, better before than after the spring are install.
PS: take care whit the tool not to chip the paint on the side door take your time.
