Vette(s): Picked it up and it running good now. Just need to do a few more things and she will be 100 percent.

Does anyone know how to adjust the drivers side mirror from being too loose? I have to adjust the mirror all the time. Seems to get worse that faster you go.

"a small center punch mark at four points around the ball does the trick as well and still allows you to adjust it."

Go into SEARCH - "enter "wandering Mirror" - see the solutions suggested

Center punch trick works.  Exactly what I did and saves buying a new mirror assy.  Especially if that's all that's wrong with it.

How bout a loose sports mirror? My whole assembly is loose not just the mirror glass. If I take the door panel off is there a screw to tighten the assembly? cilrah38875.7155555556

Yes. Should be two of them, Mark.
In order to "punch" the mirror retainer(s), you have to remove the glass. Soak the entire mirror assy. in laquer thinner, or carb cleaner, for a day or so. This will loosen the silly-cone adhesive that holds the glass to the mirror. Then you can lay the mirror on a couple of blocks of wood, covered with towels, or some form of cusions. Then, tap on the rivits that hold the retainers to the mirror. You have to be carefull not to hit it too hard, as you can dimple the back of the mirror. That will tighten the mirror to the base.
Once you have it tightened up, clean the mirror, and the glass of all old sillycone, and reattatch the glass with new sillycone at the four locations provided, and let it set for a day, to completely set up.
