Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary... Almost all original/correct L48 auto,59k miles, oyster.
I am getting painting time quotes (whole job) of 6 to 8 to 12 weeks.  Is this normal or are they talking about a few dozen Faberge eggs or the Sistine Chapel?

It's probably correct, most body shops do collision work, thats where the big money is,they'll work on your car when they aren't busy with the other ones.sometimes they never get around to yours, unless you take it too a specialty shop, they'll do it quicker ,but it'll cost a lot moreOuchDisapprove

Took the '74 in early Oct.,'97...picked it up Jan 27, 98. Basic skwert job...minor bodywerk only.
They will only werk on it if there are no high $$$ insurance jobs in the shop.
Had I known then what I know now, I would have spent the xtra $2000, and had it done at a different shop.
