I what is your plan with the frame? Is it savable? Keep up the good work on the web site.

I found a guy who is going to give me a 69 frame with front end damage which im going to cut the drivers side out of to fix mine.

Ive been keeping a checklist (based on yours)

tonight I disconnected the steering disc.. got the body side to slide up..

any secret to getting the pins on the steering box side out.. what a pain.. or should i just pry the body side open further to get it up the steering shaft.

I finally got the drivers side #2 out.. used a dremel to cut the washer and lock washer and then reshape the head.. used to chisel to break the washers out, then a bolt extractor to turn the bolt..

I got some new recip saw blades and finished cutting out dirvers #4 bolt.

I did get the square nuts out of the #4 pockets.. one of the cages was still there.. there other disenegrated from rust.

I took off the rear bumpers, valence, brackets, antenna, rear wiring harness.

Does anyone know if you can get new studs for the taillight assmeblies.. I broke off almost everyone. those little 1/4" studs were rusted beyond salvage. Or is this going to require 4 new light assemblies..

while im asking. anyone know where to get a fiber optic end repair kit.

also im going to need at least one new end for one of my backup lights.. the piece disengrated as i took it out of the taillight assembly.

I should be down to just the transmission connections, clutch rod, #1 mounts, and bolts in front holding nose to frame.. ill take some more pics and post my work list so far tommorrow night. hopefully the body comes off saturday or sunday.

Don't forget to disconnect the seat belt cables, the ground straps and parking brakes. Take your mufflers off if you have an under car exhaust, the body won't clear them,
A bit ahead of where you are, but instead of buying a new fuel line from a vette vendor, I bought a 25' roll from Summit and bent it myself, used the old one for a pattern. The "correct" lines aren't very correct in that they come in 2 pieces. Food for thought!

I just spread it apart with a screwdriver and slipped it further up the steering shaft.

where are the seat belt cables..

on the large bolt in the center or floor pan or the belt receiver bolts on the tunnel ??

ground straps and parking brakes are done.

did you get stainless fuel line. I wouldnt mind bending a new line.. Ill will use stainless though.. same for brakes.

with brakes i probably will get a kit though.. with fuel mine doesnt run all the way.. I use an electric pump mounted on frame behind passenger front wheel well.

The fuel lines I bought were complete including the wire raped around them just like the factory. All are one piece but if you need them to ship them to you they will bend them in half (large curve).

Yes, it's the center bolt for the seat belts. I also used the pre-bent stainless brake lines and was pleased with the fit and appearance. I think the clip set is an extra. Stainless is the way to go for the fuel and brake lines.
