Topic: Frame Off ??
in Forum: C3 Body
Im building mine this weekend and I am going to build a big A-frame to lift the body with!
extra wood around the house never hurt!

Make sure everything is disconnected just like the above posters said, this is why im going with a lift instead of people just incase I hit trouble I don't have 8 guys holding the body up!
Its all on the frame and ill be free to do what I need to do.
coincidently my body has been riding on the frame since who knows when, I picked my car up as a half done project and on the way home all the body mounts and shims fell onto the trailer

Thanks. Originally I was going to use a few friends to lift her but decided against it, just in case. I had to cut one of the rear bolts off. This weekend I try again. I have one side unbolted, now the other side.
I have some pictures of the a frame Im going to build on my computer at home If I remeber Ill email them to you..

You're not kidding. Doing it myself is a pain. I have all the mount bolts out. Now I am going to check all around one more time to make sure everything is disconnected. The one good thing is everything under the hood is out and my entire interior is also out. I was considering doing a rolling restoration instead. I might only change the bolts and mounts because my frame is mint. I can paint the frame from under the car. Looks like rain today so I'll probably attempt to redo my seats. I have the new foams and covers. We'll see.
