You're not kidding. Doing it myself is a pain. I have all the mount bolts out. Now I am going to check all around one more time to make sure everything is disconnected. The one good thing is everything under the hood is out and my entire interior is also out. I was considering doing a rolling restoration instead. I might only change the bolts and mounts because my frame is mint. I can paint the frame from under the car. Looks like rain today so I'll probably attempt to redo my seats. I have the new foams and covers. We'll see.

Well Im doing a full resto on mine and im going to do all the work myself so hopefully it will not be to much of a pain for me!

I just hope the neighbors understand |laugh|

Johnny, I have a 10ft ceiling so I nailed 2 2x6’s together and put them up above the rafters. Then I chained a come-a-long to it. That gave me 36in's of lift. Then I put a come-a-long on the nose to support the weight of the impact beam.

Brian,

Looks good. I cleaned out my garage today. I'm going to push her in and lift the body off as you did. I also have a 10 foot ceiling with all rafters exposed. I might as well do it once and do it right.

I got the rusty rocker channels out and cleaded up what was left. Time to start putting the new channels in. Now I am starting to clean up the frame. Gas tank is in real good shape. I am going to wire wheel evrything and paint it with Por-15.

Hows it coming Kevin? My frame is painted so I started putting things back together. Stainless fuel and brake lines, new tank straps, new bolts everywhere, Hope to get the rockers welded in tomorrow. Then I can put the body back on. Price keeps going up. I can't image paying to have this stuff done. |eek|

Brian,

I've had to work alot of overtime and even my days off, so I haven't done a whole lot with the car. I think I'm going to take a few days off so I can get something done. I'm glad to see that you are moving right along. Looks great. I'll let you know what if anything that I get done.
