I am going to replace the front bumper on my 79. I will keep the original, but it is warped badly in two places.
I am not concerned about originality as far as this piece goes, but what is recommended, fiber glas or urethatne ? Where to purchase ? Whose fits best ?
Thanks

Vette(s): 1980 corvette, very modified.
Right hand drive done by myself.
I fitted a flexi glass to my mates 81 and it looks so much better. There is nothing worse than having a nice looking C3 and then you look at the front and back and all that catches your eyes are those anoying waves in the urethane. He got his from ecklers and fitted up with no worries. Hope this helps

I bought an '80 style front piece from Ecklers..it is fiberglass. I didn't want to have any problems with that ''wavey'' look...since I was fiberglassing over the seams.
Fiberglass and urethane don't bond together.

I replaced the stock bumbers on my 79 with fiberclass ones, the rear piece fitted like a glove, but the front needed some classing and sanding to make it perfect. In the end ones you get them right they look so much better and won't start warping like the urathane.
