Had to replace the front bumper on the white witch. got a repro from corvette america along with the hangers and the rest of the hardware. Took it to a coupla of places around here,2 of them were dealers, and no one wanted to touch a vette.finally NU-LOOK said they'ed do it for 300 bucks and it would only take a day to do it.first phone call.....need 40 more bucks to sand bumper.......2nd phone call.....can't get the new bumper on3rd phone call.....they tried everything can't get it on and they don't want to break anything except the old front bumper which is in pieces! sooooooooooo they found someone willing to fix it for me but he's about 40 miles away so I drive her over there and he says no problembut it will take 2 weeks cuz he's busy...by the time he's figured out what's wrong and got the bumper on it cost me 1028 dollars and it's not flush on the drivers side and there are some cracks that were'nt there before well i'm gonna paint her the year after next so i'llwait till then to have the glass work done right and a new nose cone fabricated so the bumper fits just venting guys!!! but you know if you stand back about 20 feet she really looks good now

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
That's just a damn shame!

The repro bumper covers are a pain, but....the original ones weren't that good to begin with. It's much easier to install the urethane covers than the 'Tru-flex', and they're easier than 'glass. None of them will fit perfectly without massaging the body a little. It still sucks, tho. Adams' Apple38488.2037152778

I put a new nose on a 73 I had a few years ago. The only way I could get it to fit correctly involved 'glass work. I was painting the car at the time, so it all worked out. I don't think any of them ever fit the way they should.

I feel your pain!
