zgator: I have an '82. I have no warpage. I'm not really sure what you mean, however. Can you explain more? I have 53K miles.
Well, I think it's more of a temperture thing than a low miles type of deal. My 82 CE only had 32,000 when I bought it. I think it has 43,000 ish now. My vette lived it's life in Tampa Fla. and I brought it to Savannah so there there really ain't a dimes worth of difference as far as temp/humidty. I'm guessing they suffer from some kind of srinkage. My warp, and it's not really that bad yet,(I'm sure most people don't even notice it) is below the grill on the RH side.but when I push down on it,it gives until it hits something solid under the cover(some bracing?)Anyway we have something at work thats called Fastweld 10. It is a structural epoxy (2 part) Whatever you want glued with that stuff will stay glued. We use it on parts of the aircraft we build. Just take a look at your front and rear and see if yours looks like it's comming "unglued" is a good way of describing it. If you can't see it or are not sure if you see it then you don't have it. Like my rear cover. It's perfect.Beleive me if you have it you'll know it.I'm going to try some of the fastweld 10 as soon as I figure out how to clamp it together. I don't have anything that big right now. I allways look when I'm in ACE or HD/Lowes ect. That epoxy has to be clamped in order to work properly. I'll let you know when I do it. I'm guessing I'll get a few years out of it, that stuff is strong. As a matter if fact. If anybody out there knows how to clamp his down I'll be more than happy to send you a box of it. Just let me knowWink
