Going to replace the front emblem on my car. The old one is on there with adhesive and the new one attaches that way also. Any advice ?

Use a piano wire to remove old one then clean the area really good. The wire needs to be kept tight against emblem. You should be able to see some video how too on youtube de-badging your car. You can use fishing line also.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Thanks for the clue on how to find it on YouTube. There are a few ways to do that they all seem to involve heat.

Spot on advice on the emblem removal. Going back on is equally tricky. The emblems are usually made with a cast backing but it will bend a little for that "just right" fit if you are very careful. If the area is cleaned thoroughly before applying the new new emblem it should stay put nicely and look great for a long time.
