Hey guys!

Sorry its been awhile... Lots of work stuff, economy is rough really rough in my industry of low voltage in Las Vegas. Anyways on top of that... I was working in an old ceiling... and a support beam was a little wobbly and before I knew it I fell right through 12 feet to the wonderful concrete floor breaking my left femur. I was in a hospital bed for a bit, got some nice pain pills.. 2 surgery's and and a metal pin / rod kit and I'm good as new! Been laid up in bed forever too, I'm in physical therapy now.. I'll post more on that later..

Anywho.... Got a question or two.. maybe a few .02 cents from everyone!

The car and my special project is coming to a close.... They want her in primer by the end of this tuesday...
Which one of these emblems should go i the middle of the back bumper / sides/front nose...

C6 logo:

C3 77' logo:

In the black bumper....

Either the cross flag logo or the corvette lettering logo....

And lastly anyone have some non ugly and very functional custom fiberglass ready mold-able front spoilers? Any side front and rear marker ideas? Different lights? I'll just have you know the front lights are very different... and its something no-one has ever done before and everyone thinks is impossible.... but I made it possible in my garage and the mold fiberglass help of a few body friends.

Thanks guys....
-Louis

Welcome back, Louis! Sorry about your fall, and the ensuing pain from it...Ouch!

I like the '77 emblem for the rear bumper, centered.
'77 emblem for the nose
Corvette script on the side fenders, above the vent, or...
Corvette script at the lower edge of the rear bumper, to the pass. side, like the ZR1 was.

Glad to hear from you Louis. Your fall could have been worse - anyway, we're happy to hear that you're better now.Wink

I like the old school stuff too. Actually, the older corvette emblems from the 60s that were wrotten in script mught be a cool mod on your emblem play...just an idea for you.Lamp

Hey Louis nice to hear from you.... Gotta watch walkin around on the ceiling rafters.... sometimes things arean't as they seem as you well know now.

I like the OEM 77 nose emblem on the front, the new C6 emblems on the side, and the 76 Stingray script on the lower right rear bumper. (similar to Joel's idea)

As far as your fiberglass ideas check out ACI they have some good choices for modified vettes. That is where I purchased my ground effects from.Tuxblacray2009-02-14 08:32:01

Louis, I'm glad your OK after your accident. I'm putting on a glass back end and I'm using the C6 (chromed) crossed flags for the center. Good luck on your project....post pics.........

This is a 80-82 car with no fiberglass spoiler. It has the OEM rubber wind deflector. It is sporting a Speed Lingerie Bra from Southern Car Parts.

What do you guys think of this one anyway?

http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?pf_id=10291&dept_id=1738

I took a massive amount of weight of the car, and now there is a 600HP engine sitting behind it... so far a "computer" has estimated a top speed with a 3.08 rear end.... of 206MPH.... the suspension is height adjustable... I'm gonna get that front end mono spring kit from VBnP with lightweight arms. Plus the light change was a massive and unbelievable change... I don't want a front spoiler thats like the indy where si all gaudy and flared out... maybe just a little like this one... and has nice curves for looks and effective for giant wind gusts... I gatta order this thing 2day so I can have it for Tuesdays prime.... so they can bolt and mold her seams in...

Any suggestions?
Thanks guys....
-Louis

I had one like this and it literally blew apart as I was buzzing down the road. It was toast by the time I got stopped. (Having ran over it.... )

I also would not mold this into the front. I can almost guarentee at some point you will be taking it off for repair.

I changed and went to the Indy spoiler (sorry) because it is a ureathane construction and way more forgiving. I have drug it a few time and shes still alive.

Good luck with your decision.....
