I replaced the seal on one of my headlight actuators and still need to do the other one. I came across this article, http://www.corvettemagazine.com/2002/january/headlights/ligh ts-1.asp and was wondering about the next to last picture that they are showing the seals pointed end going into the actuator. Is this backwards? I put mine on the other way with the pointed end up with the smaller seal end lip just inside the actuator housing. I works great, but did I do it backwards?

Thanks Ron. So they are showing it backwards in the article?

Well, yes, and no.
The seal should be turned inside out, threaded onto the shaft, and then the large part that fits into the actuator pushed down and over itself. Either way will work, tho, if you just want to slide the seal on without flipping it inside out. They just didn't flip the seal around in the right direction for the pic. Hey, if yours werks, enjoy it! Ya done goot!!
