Topic: Headlight door adjustment
in Forum: C3 Body

Cookie, I just finished restoring both sides on mine. the doors are adjusted by both the mounting and bearing bolts - mainly the bearing bolts. Tag team effort makes the much easier to do as you need to be a bit of a contortionist to get at the bolts without taking off the hood and grille, bumpers, etc.
There are also limiting bolts that act as a stop from over-opening and closing.
Give me a call if you need help.
I have a problem along the same lines. Both doors open fine and they look to be about even, but when my lights are on, the "Head Lamps" idiot light stays on the whole time. It's not really a problem as much as it is annoying. Any thoughts?
Marshall, I believe I had the same problem 2 years ago, when my lights were on, the red light on my dash went on also. What I can't recall if it said "Head lamps" or "Door open" I replaced the Headlight warn/alarm switch which cost about $25 ea. (I replaced both) They were very easy to replace and easy to reach. (I laid under the front of the car, under the headlight) I believe I got them from Ecklers #593075. Talk to them first and make sure we're talking about the same part.

Thanks for the info. As you said, finally, an easy fix!!
