My right door opens well but the left headlight door sticks the vacuum is good and if I nudge it it will open but I can see where it is binding so how do I re-align it can it be done from outside after taking the metal cover collar off or is it an inside job???? Thanks bb78

When you nudge it to get it to open can you feel anything "pop" or release as if its in a bind or does it just need a little help to get past the point where it stops and then opens on its own?

It's probably in the pins and springs. You can get to it from underneath the car usually.

I believe it needs more than spray I think the problem is the door is out of alignment for the opening, There must be screws to re-align the door to the openning but can't find the exact screw yet?? Thanks for your reply bb78

you can see if rubbing against the opening ther is too much room at the top and no room at the bottom of the door, so an alignment screw or something is out of allignment to keep it centered onthe door, haven.t got to taking it apart yet to see where it alligns yet?? Thanks bb78
My 72 has the same problem. The fact that no one is answering makes me worry the "fix" is the grind down the body and re-paint.
