That hood is a mess. It is difficult to understand how that was missed during the initial prep. Anyway, at least the shop is being reasonable about the remedy. Good luck.

Thanks everybody. An estimate on how long all of this will take is approximately 1 month. It should be ready again the first week in June.

I just hope that Sassi doesn't think that we've abandonned her. Disapprove

Well,.... easier said than done my brothers. One of my best friends is a master painter and in spite of  his lifetime of experience, I still got a bubble on my old rubber bumper. I didn't like it, but I saw the trouble he went through to do his best and I approved, but I still got a bubble. Urethane and fiberglass are very difficult mediums to work with. Of my 3 vettes, all have a bubble, at least.

I feel your pain.  Mine has been in since 01 Feb this year and will probably be Jun or so before she returns.   I'm glad to see they are working with you.

I talked with the painter last week (with all the rain & humidity he is just now in primer) and he said that there were 3 pinholes that came up that he didn't like so he is going to rework the areas since he can't shoot in this weather.

With rain & storms predicted thru Sat morning, he won't even be able to lay down primer until Sunday next at the earliest.

Blocking, then paint ,then color sanding, then second color on hood, then more color sanding, then clear.

I was hoping to have her for our club's big Memorial Day weekend racing program, but it isn't looking positive.

I understand but it doesn't mean I have to like it.  On the upside, the guy knows that there are at least 4 complete paint jobs and a hood and several touch ups waiting to see what kind of a job he does on mine.
