Vette(s): Picked it up and it running good now. Just need to do a few more things and she will be 100 percent.

Is there a way to remove the sag on the hood? It is between the front and back of the hood on the sides. Are there any aftermarket rails that can be mounted on the inside of the fenders so the hood rest on it to help prevent the sag?

You don't need rails.  There are stock rubber supports that the hood rest on.  They fit in the fender rail area.  You should see these near the front and rear of the hood.   Just add another pair in the center section where the hood  sags.

They're available through Corvette Central, Eckler's, Corvette America, etc.

These "supports" were normally only installed IF there was a sagging problem with the hood. Not all cars had them but I'm sure a lot more of them need them now than they did 30years ago. It's just a small square of rubber, trimmed to fit, and then glued to the ledge of the hood surround.

I'll have to check to see what is already there or what is not there.

Gunslinger: Is that a Studebaker Avanti in your signature? I used to think those were some really neat cars. They are getting to be very rare now a days and that one is a good looking one.

It is an Avanti, but not a Studebaker version. I used to own a '63 Stude Avanti and sold it some years back (got married, sold car, got divorced...so I lost both car and wife!). I always wanted another Avanti and a couple of years ago bought this '02 Avanti convertible. It has an LS1 Vette engine, somewhat "warmed over"...it is powerful and fast. Much more so than my '69 427/435 Vette, but there is a great difference in automotive technology since '69. The Avanti is pushing somewhere around 400 hp and I love the car.

BTW - the wonderful woman I'm married to now loves the Vettes and the Avanti! I traded up in more ways than one! Actually, that's not a fair thing to say...my ex is a wonderful woman, but it takes more than that to make a successful marriage. I'm just much happier this time wround.
