I've got a zillion detail pics on all my Vettes! When I figured out how to post them it just became the best way to respond. Only problem, my FREE Village Photos account only allows me 50 pics in my file. That's why older posts of mine will probably show the dreaded red X. Just cleared out a bunch of pics last night. I need to  splurge and PAY for an account!

Well Mike, .....the infamous red X,...... you just solved another riddle for me. I thought my software was inadequate and wouldn't make the pics fly. LOL

I use "webshots.com" and they allow quite a few freebees, I have  a couple hundred on there... and you can also just make the pics/albums avail to anyone offline if you like. All you have to do is give them the web address.. like this one below

I have most of my stuff at Photobucket...also free, with quite a bit of storage space.

Also, if you have pics stored on your computer, and they are sized about the same as the above pic, you can upload them directly to the post from you 'puter. Just click on the icon at the top of the post box, and follow directions.

Mike, you have an amazing photo collection...I always wondered if you just stopped everything, and went out and took photos as needed! Thanks for sharing them with us.

btw...I almost always "copy" your pics to my 'puter, for future reference. It's a lot easier than diggin thru older posts to find it...especially if there's nothing there but the dadgum red X Adams' Apple2007-05-24 19:07:33

I've been with Village Photos a couple of years now and I know my way around the site. Hard to change now, kinda a creature of habit...Think about it, 4 Vettes, all very similar; 4 Yorkshire Terriers; married the same woman TWICE; moved 4000 miles away and ended up returning home again to Chicago.........

Joel, sometimes I DO go and just snap a pic if it's needed. Always seems to be a Vette up on the lift so it's quick, sometimes quicker than finding the pic on one of my CDs(and then figuring out what car it's from). I have a Kodak program that lets me crop and resize pics in order to transfer them to Village, only takes a few minutes. That's kinda cool cause from one overall pic, say an underhood shot, I can crop out several different detail shots as needed, clear as day.

Anyone ever need to see a pic where I left ya a red X just ask, I still have it saved on CD.
