I should be picking it up at the trucking depot tomorrow. I cant get a semi truck down my street. Hoods have to be sent by semi, fed ex & ups wont handle the large box. It's also cheaper shipment cost if you go pick it up.
Got the ecklers hood for $80 off , air chamber for $19 off ecklers price.
Will reply again in 2 days on looks of product, wont be able to test fit until next weekend.
P.S. hood shipped direct from ecklers warehouse to south elgin (abf trucking depot)

Bought an L-88 hood from Eckler's several years ago.....overall, great workmanship. However, the very front (where it comes to a point), sat noticibly higher than the stock hood. I was informed by Eckler's staff that you can actually mold the glass with a bit of coaxing. Here's what I did: Got the hood nice and warm by driving a bit. Placing a non-slip surface on that part of the hood, I VERY CAREFULLY balanced a heavy object (in my case, an old a/c compressor) over it, making sure it wasn't going to roll off the front of the nose. It took about 6 times but it now fits flush with the front section. I had a sick feeling in my stomach the whole time, envisioning it rolling off and scratching everything in its way. Not a bad idea to babysit it the first few times......you can remove it when the hood cools. Hopefully, yours will fit well, but here's the solution if it doesn't

P.S. Needless to say, didn't paint it until it was absolutely perfect.
