Vette(s): 1968 convertible 427/390 British Green w/saddle interior and soft top.4 spd no air. It has just been mechanically restored from the tires up, and I'm working on the cosmetics.
I am currently trying to rebuild the window and door lock parts to my 68'. I have encountered some screws that hold the inner and outer window fuzzies that are so rusted that a phillips head only starts to ream out the screw head. they are too close to fiberglass to try any heat source, should I try to drill them out or does anyone have a better solution. I am "totally screwed" at this point. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Thanks

Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.
Try one of the screw removers made by craftsman. They fit in your drill, put your drill in reverse and it will come out. You may want to soak a little pb blaster ahead of time.

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Try soaking them with GM Heat Valve Lube.  GM part number 1052627

It is the best penatrant you will ever find.  Makes PB blaster look wimpy.

If the car is a right hand drive, do you turn the car the other way? kstyer38798.8355902778
