Well, after all summer and most of the early fall I got to bring her home again. It felt so nice to be able to drive her again. Lots of nice looks going through town with the new paint. I put three photos of it in my file folder and tried to change the image in my signature for posts so hope it posts this time. Not sure how to share them with everyone.
The paint is a totally custom job. The paint is Base Coat/ Clear Coat. There are two coats of DBU Briliant Silver Metalic with two coats of DBU Tricoat stage 2 Infurno Red translusant. It all got 3 coats of "Kroma Clear" Clear coat on it. Scuffed and buffed to a deep gloss.
I love the way that the light makes that Silver sparkle through the Red. It actually shows three different tones of Red depending on how much sun light is directly on it.
I know I planned on just the silver but, after I saw some of the different paint schemes this guy had done I asked him about the possibility of doing something custom for me. He only charged me $500.00 extra for all the paint and work to get this color. Needless to say I am very pleased.

A sharp lookin machine! SOMEDAY, I hope to have that feeling.

Speaking of that Ron, I don't intend to use the silly T-Top rack. Wold it be better to have the holes filled and faired in or keep them drilled with the rubber sleeves?

Thanks Greg, Paul & Ron. I am in love with the color myself even more now than when I saw it for the first time at the shop. I took it out to get gas and blow some dirt out of it and man the looks she got! Never had that many before. With the bright sunny afternoon light hitting that color it just POPS !!! Never looking the same in any one direction depending on how much sun hits it. Had this one chick lookin so hard I thought she was gonna start drewling anytime. LOL
The guy who did mine is just a small two man shop operation. But, I can ask him if he knows any shops in the Saginaw area.
The rest of the new interior parts should be here Tuesday or Wednesday so I will be very busy working on that. Also, got some trim work to clean up. It never ends....

Bulldog,if your not gonna use the rack any more, you may as well have the holes filled, the only problem you might have is color match,Silver is one of the hardest colors to match especially if its 25 years old.unless the plugs are a real eyesore, leave em there till you get the car repainted, the p.o. of my car took out the plugs and put in chrome round headed bolts, they will stay that way till I get her painted
