Vette(s): 1976 Stingray,(early) White L48 loaded. Stock t-tops and also the original aftermarket "moonroofs". #'s matching.
When I bought my '76, the previous owner also included a set of original "moonroof" T-Tops with bags. These have smoke colored glass with white painted fiberglass around the edge. Does anyone how I can find out if these are real aftermarket "moonroofs"? |headscratch|

In 1976 Moonroofs were not an option for the t-top. Only the hard painted ones. They probably are modified from a later car.

Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior. Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
Rob-what I do know is, in 1977, only the fiberglass panels were offered, due to a dispute with GM, and the manufacturer. This resulted in the glass "moonroffs" not being an option for that year.

Because of this, I am assuming that other years, the glass panels were indeed an option.

Lucky me. I have a 77 L-82. What I found out, from sitting in my vette, to sitting in my friends 80, is that the glass panels offer 2 inches more of headroom.
Being 6 feet tall, I can appreciate that fact.

I hope my useless ramblings helped a bit.

76sting, if you're looking to ever get rid of them, let me know.
