Happy New Year friends!  Any one have an idea on where I can get a set of custom mud flaps made (rear quarter panel protectors if you think that term is better).  I like the black poly ones they make for the C-4 thru 6 group but have never been able to find anything for a C-3 except that nip-chip stuff or the thin plastic paint protection sheets.  Thanks! Ken (one C-3 guy who is looking forward to the spring)

I have some black worn plastic ones with Chevrolet in chrome letters on my 76 that were on the car. I was thinking of replacing them with what I call splash guards. The biggest problem is finding them for a C3. I did find that Mid America has a set of four 1963-77 Corvette Protectors made of clear heavy duty acrylic for $24.99. I have looked and found most molded plastic sets are made for C4's and newer. I,m still looking.Big%20smile You might be able to custom fit some C4 or C5 guards on a C3. Aaron19762008-01-01 17:42:29

I run clear plastic units on the front and back. I think they came from Eckler's.
I also run the Clearstatic plastic sheets behind the doors and the rear wheels.

Custom fitting a later year would be ideal as they look so ccol - let me know if you try it - I am going to do some suspension work over winter and hit the splash guard in spring = thanks for the idea

When you mention clear plastic units - are those spash guards or those nip-chip clip ons they sell?  Thanks for responding

The clear ones are mud flap splash guard type. You might be able to paint them your desired color.Big%20smile

I have a new mid-america book and I see them in there - says they only work up till '79, don't know why that is - it's basically the same wheel well - I am going to order these - thanks

I just took the Mud Flaps/Splash Guards off of my Vette. You know they were after market one size fit whatever you have kind. It looks much better without them, they just didn't look right. If you find some that are designed right for a C3 get em or go without cause they look better without them (that's why they make those clear plastic stick on protective sheets to not take away from the lower fender lines).Big%20smile

Thanks - I don't know what to do - I bought some clear flaps from Corvette Central that work on earlier year C3's but the last thing I want to do is wreck the looks of my baby.  You make a lot of sense.
