With the help of the C3VR forum, I stripped the urethane bumper with the proper urethane stripper, and after sanding, etc., now have a nice bumper ready for primer, and different agents. etc.
Today, I fitted it to the car. Drivers side fits nice. Passenger side, not getting to the end. Bumper too short. There is a 3/16" gap. Bumper will not stretch to the end at the top corner. It was fine before I took it off.
Now I have the rubber pieces that fits behind the left and right top corners out. Could it be that when these are anchored in the upper corners, that the bumper is going to pull up and over these snubbers, and get lined up ? Or, should I just put the bumper out in the 80+ degree weather we are enjoying, and see if it is going to stretch itself back on and over?
Any advice is appreciated, as I am really looking for the excuse to buy the flexi-glas bumper, but would like to make this work to keep it original.
