Vette(s): 1971 Conv. Red/Red with White top. Base 350, 4 speed, PS/PB, AC, Tilt/Tel, Hard Top. Factory Side Pipes. ( I know its not stock, but I always wanted a car with side pipes)

The convertible top on my car was in good shape with no tares. But I really hated to put it up because it was so yellowed. Just not nice to look at and didn't match the rest of the car. Well it looks like its NEW now! I used "new convertible top in-a-can" All I can say is WOW. Anyone with a faded top should look in to this. A whole lot cheaper then a new top and easer to put on. Here are a few pictures of the finished product.

Wow, nice job. It would be interesting to see the before picture to compare the after effect.

It really looks new!

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

I'm assuming it's a dye of some sort, and you had to do some substantial masking off before using it, but the result looks fantastic.  I agree though, some before pictures would really give us a sense of contrast.

Great job and congrats on the new top!

[/QUOTE] Thanks for the nice comments. It is a dye. but in a spray can. I did mask off the rear window and put towlels over every thing else. As far a before pictures. I only have one with the top up. You really can't see just how yellowed it was. I wish I had taken a good before picture just to show the contrast.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

I have redyed several tops, both convertable and sedans, as well as interior parts and carpets.  Dye works very well.

Nice job.
