WOW! Well at least now, the more rewarding phase can start. Reaaasembly. It's kinda fun puttin' em back together. With all new or reconditioned parts, I'm still amazed that I can work on my car and not get greased up!

got the frame back from sandblasting today..
they asked me to pressure wash it first and i did.. used a gallon of degreaser in the process.. they said it would save me money and it sure did.
it cost me a whopping $48.61 to get the frame blasted.. They even primed it since it's raining...
looks pretty good and no additional damage from blasting it.
looks like i just need the side rails, differential bracket, rear crossmember (dented, not rusted), and the bolt on front cross.
im ordering tomorrow, tried to use a c3vr sponsor but bairs doesnt list part numbers for c3 frame section in their catalog.. only c2..
and corvetteamerica is about 20% higher than vetteproducts of michican.
anyway.. looks like $611 dollars of frame sections..
and I have an appointment at the custom rod shop for monday the 18th
then i begin the long arduous process of reassmebly..

very awesome pictures, Ben, sorry to hear about the split up but for now it the best thing, unless she changes. On the up side now you have the time to work on your vette. It is so great of you to share , I'm glad I was able contribute some to your lifetime membership as well as Ken's.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
I emailed Bairs and when I requested a catalog they said they have a lot more then is shown in the catalog and to just asked them.
I guess just don't discount what they have until you ask.

Dude! Nice, and yes scary. I wonder if my frame looks like that. I sure as hell hope not. I'm not that experienced in cars to take the body off, let alone have enough $$ for sandblasting. However we are going to put the car on jack stands are pressure wash it. So far that we can tell there is no rust on the car. It’s a California car so I'm sure there isn’t much other than surface that we are going to clean off.
