Thanks for the input.

No, it's not my design and I won't be doing any painting on my Vette.

These are mostly internet images. I am still looking at other images, although I really would like a combination of the American flag and the bald eagle.

I have been looking for and collecting pictures where ever I can find them for ideas.

Originally, I was going for the flag draped over the fenders like I have seen at Corvettes at Carlisle. That really grabbed my attention. And who doesn't like the American flag. And when I go to a cruise-in or the Museum and see a dozen other RED VETTES I want mine to be different. And no offence to anyone, but flames are not my thing.

So when I went to the graphic designer and he said he could put a custom decal on the hood and if I ever wanted to remove it, it would be easy, I said let's see what that would look like. Hence, the mock-up.

I asked if he could have it fade into the rest of the paint and he is checking on that now. Gotta talk with him some more tomorrow.

I'll keep you all up to date.

Thanks again for your candid opinions and great ideas. I really appreciate them all.

I like the idea and low is  right about the fade. I`d prefer to see it on the underside of the hood though.

Can you blend the hood design onto the fenders and fade it out?  Otherwise a geat look

OK, I'm working with a new guy who I think has better graphics.

What do you think of this?

And something like this for the hood.

Ditto!  The side graphic is awesome but the hood seems to be lacking something.  Just doesn't have the snap or flair to match the sides IMO.

(second version) I like the side, but not the hood so much.

Just my opinion - I think the side would look a little better if it started out lower in the front (out of the vent)  and finished higher over the rear quarter. (see the 04 Vette Indy pace car)

You have a beauty there and no matter what you choose, I'm sure it will look fantastic!

I think Willis has the good idea..........................................what if you just used only the hood scoop area as the same idea as the sides, and it came down on both sides of the hood scoop.

Love it, looks great, but I gotta agree the eagle is a bit too much and I think it would look great like said above if it just faded out on to the top of the fenders, not folding over the sides though
