Well, out of the blue Friday I got a phone call from Lew. He said he had the car back to the shop for the day and asked if I wanted to come by and look at it. You can bet that I said yes! When I went by the car was parked outside (it was 70 degrees here Friday). The paint looks perfect! I couldn't find a bad spot! Now it has to go back and get the black trim and under the hood painted. I took pictures but I couldn't get them to load at work (my home computer sucks). I think I got the pictures e-mailed to Joel, hopefully he can get them up for me. Otherwise, You all will have to wait until Monday! But trust me, it looks really good!

Barry congratulations! Sounds like you not only got a great painter who cares but a great paint job also! Feels good when things go as they are supposed to! No let down! AWESOME! Glad to hear it was outside..I know you were all over that thing and still didn't find anything..that's a sign of a good painter..I'll be honest that I was worried..I have met tons of people that have painted cars and you are one of the few that actually are happy with the results..AWESOME AGAIN!

Here are the pictures.

The sun was really bright so its hard to get the full effect but the body is really straight with very little waves. I looked at evry part and couldn't find a mark! They were putting the door handles and locks back on while I was there. Now I'm starting to get really excited!

Barry

That's awesome! They really got that thing stripped down good..not much tape at all..did they paint inside the door jams and all..I think you said they trimmed it out! Any new emblems on the list..wow..and no red marker..

Rich, They stripped and painted inside the door jambs and the hinges and even smoothed out the inside seams of the doors and hood! They took EVERY component off the car! You KNOW there will be no old emblems or weatherstripping going back on! Especially since NOS emblems are available! Hopefully, She'll look BETTER than new!
