Barry,
I knew I liked that color. That is the same light, light blue on my Strat.

It does get a lot of looks and comments, Keith. However, it doesn't get many votes at car shows.

I think we need to figure out for the CFC show next year how and what class to register in so we can all vote for each other! Paul in super modified and so on..oh and we got to get Hank a trophy also..how is he doin! Don't worry about the votes..the people that show up with the most in the club always win! I got Rodney and his crazy paint to contend with now so I dought I got to many local ones in me anymore! No big deal though ..

My first parade at Carlisle 2010
Rich, Hank's car is in at Lew's shop also! He's getting the entire front clip repainted (including hood and under hood) and both bumper covers. He is also getting all new weatherstripping and having some of the same chrome parts installed under the hood that I'm having put on (we bought the stuff together). When he gets his back he is going to order new Dayton true wire wheels and put a set of the Firestone Indy 500 tires on. Oh, I almost forgot. He's also getting new body mounts. His were toast. Luckily, Lew said that mine look like new so no need to replace them
. I'm doing enough already! They may be done around the same time!

Talked to Lew today. He said they had to order a new door handle for the drivers side. I kept telling people that worked on the car I didn't like how it felt but all said it was OK. Now I know the spring was going bad. The trim is all painted (front REALLY needed it) as are the imitation bumperettes. They have started the reassembly process and are installing the new hood latches and other chrome parts. I can't wait to see it again!

Barry,
My first and until now my only show. Was about 3 months after I got my baby and it was cheaper to enter the show and park with the C3s than pay for parking and admission. The highly modified C3 next to me took best in show and class. Ours came in dead last place and got a mention for most promising. But, I got the list of things they were looking at. It was a lot of fun and we got to drive in the parade around Sandwich, MA. After seeing a lot of very nice Corvettes!

Oh, don't get me wrong, Keith. I'm not saying I go to car shows expecting to win. I enjoy hanging out with friends (especially my C3VR Buddies!) and seeing what other owners have done with their cars. Besides, I'm a car nut to the core. The soft bumper cars in general cannot compete with the chromies. The only hope is if they seperate the two. I would just like to have people take time to notice the cars that aren't full of flash. OK, thats my rant for today, and I'm STILL looking forward to the next show!
