Well after two trips over and back I think everything is pretty much wrapped up. I went over Monday with Hank to get the mirror and radio fixed. Turned out the gasket was backwards on the passenger side sport mirror. They had to take off the door panel and glass guides but Jenn (the girl that handles all the trim stuff) got her fingers in to get the nuts off (no comments, please!). I could never get my hand in there! The radio took about ten seconds. Memory wire on acc. terminal instead of hot. But then I go to put up the hood and only the driver side goes up! Lew had to pop out the plug and pop the latch manually. Turns out the NEW cross cable (which I had supplied) had shifted off the bracket and was just moving. Some glue, ty-raps, and a knot in the cable got it working temporarily. Lew ordered a new cable and I brought him a Rik's catalog to order the proper rear T-top switches ( mine are chrome, most places only have black). Today I went back and Jenn but those on while Lew put on the hood cable. When all was done, I started back up the road. Got about Fifteen miles away and all of a sudden the tach goes right to zero. So I turn around and head back. Turns out the connector to the tach filter had broken off and of course disconnected. Lew fixed this at no charge and sent me on my way. So now I'm good till the next broken part! Sorry for the book!

Thanks, Dan!

Barry, The car looks great! As you already knew these old cars take lots of pampering. Put some miles on it between now and your trip to MAM. Sounds like your already getting the bugs worked out!

If it ever stops raining around here MAYBE I could get some driving in! I still have to install the I pod interface on the stereo, then clean up under the hood. I really am pleased with how it is turning out after being so upset last year over the paint. Can't wait to see everyone!

I'm so happy for you Barry! That car is stunning! I'm looking forward to your place in the next calendar.

Thanks, guys! I'm really happy how things are coming along. The car is running wonderfully and now if it just would stop raining for a while! Yesterday was cool and cloudy, and today was nice, but from tomorrow evening until next weekend ( with the exception of Thursday ) EVERY DAY calls for rain! It's depressing!
